Bernhard Eggimann, Ph.D., Vice-President Manufacturing
Dr. Eggimann has 28 years of international experience in industrial biopharmaceutical product and process development and manufacturing with several small and large Biopharma companies. Upon completion of his Ph.D. in natural sciences at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and post doctoral studies at the Clinical Research Institute in Montreal he spent 8 years at Hoffman-LaRoche, Basel in the development of purification processes for interferons, recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies. In 1990 he moved to Montreal, where he occupied positions at the Biotechnology Research Institute, Ibex Technologies, Biomarin Pharmaceuticals and Debiovision until 2009 when he joined Enobia. During these years he assumed responsibilities in manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, technology transfer, contract manufacturer management and preparation of quality sections for regulatory submissions for several protein and peptide drugs in various stages of clinical development.
